Ennis CNU

From the outset of the fifty beds Ennis CNU project there was a clear requirement for the unit to provide first class medical care within a homely and safe environment where the patients could feel completely comfortable in their surroundings.

Studies have shown that the environment in elderly care units have a direct effect on the mental and physical wellbeing of its residents. The Dr SU Vertical Medical Trunking system from Cableflow provides all the services required at the bed head including power, data, nurse call, medical gas, and room and reading lights in a homely enclosure which one might find in a 5 star hotel. The wood effect facia affords clients the possibility of matching the supply unit to the wardrobes and joinery within the room. Electrical services are hidden from view whilst still being accessible for the medical staff. The front mounted medical gas allows flow meters to be directly mounted for easy access and viewing.

The innovation within this project also extends to the first installation of the most advanced nurse call technology available in the market. Visocall IP from Shrack Seconet uses IP protocol to transmit nurse call signals. The benefit of such a system is that it is infinitely expandable. With an IP point at the bedside the system can provide speech, radio, video on demand, IP technology as well as standard nurse call items all through 1 CAT 5 cable. In the future all nurse call systems will use this technology but until then the Visocall IP system from Shrack Seconet will remain ahead of the field!
