Otiom Localisation Device
The location device that prevents people with dementia from becoming lost.
Otiom is the result of Denmark’s largest public-private innovation partnership. Over several years people with dementia, relatives, caregivers, aged care providers, associations, municipalities and universities have all taken part in this unique collaboration. All with the common goal of finding a low-cost, respectful and practical solution to prevent people with dementia from becoming lost.
With Otiom, caregivers create tailored safety levels which define the limits of where each resident should be. If a resident leaves the level, caregivers or relatives receive a text message alert and the Otiom-app shows them the resident’s location.
Thanks to the newest technology, Otiom is the only solution in the market, that can locate people with dementia indoors as well as outdoors.
Otiom respects an individual’s independence and dignity. It is not a surveillance device. Instead, it only alerts caregivers if a resident leaves their individual safety level.
Robustly Designed for Dementia Patients:
- Otiom is tough enough to withstand being put in a machine washing and will continue to operate if a resident falls into water.
- Plus the battery lasts for up to a month.
- The Otiom-tag is worn by residents who are at risk of becoming lost. It can be worn around the neck, or sewn into clothing (machine washable).
- The Otiom-tag has a dementia-friendly design. It is neutral, pleasant to touch and has no confusing buttons or power outlets.

Wireless Nurse Call Systems in COVID19 wards
COVID19 cohort wards are being developed all over Ireland to treat Coronavirus patients. The fast installation of these wards will potentially save lives. That is why the Securwatch SmartLiberty Real-Time-Locating-System (RTLS) from Schrack Seconet is an ideal Nurse Call System for use in such wards. With almost no cabling this is the most simple to install wireless system in Ireland.
Wireless transponders used by patients and nursing staff have call buttons which can be personalised with user names and patient bed locations. Patient calls and hsopital staff requests can be handled quickly through the nursecall system.
One single battery powered marker could be enough to cover the positions of all transponders inside a single quarantine ward. For larger areas including multiple wards several position markers can be used to provide patient and hospital staff locations on a room accuracy level.

Mobile Air Cleaning Unit
This mobile Air Cleaning system removes the #Coronavirus from air in hospital wards. Thus, reducing the risk of staff infection. Named the ‘Airsentry Belfast’ this mobile unit can maintain a HBN 57 compliant ITU room as Ultra Clean.
Virus droplet nuclei expressed during coughing or sneezing, are an important factor behind WHO guidance regarding staff protection. Particularly where Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is utilised. CPAP and clinical interventions to treat Coronavirus patients are known to produce powerful aerosols which increase the patient room/ward bio burden and subsequent risk of an increase in viral load to medical staff.
The Airsentry Belfast system can maintain air as Ultra Clean in any room area, simply by being plugged in.
This significantly reduces the risk of staff being infected while treating Coronavirus patients. Currently being deployed for:
- ICU isolation areas
- ICU/HDU
- A&E
- Ward areas being designated for cohorts where CPAP is planned for support.
Due to problems with PPE including mask sealing, the only safe solution is to ensure treatment area air is ultra clean. This unit is being produced at half price for hospital use to help with the COVID-19 pandemic battle.

Schyns Q100 Intensive Mobile Medical Supply Unit
The Q100 Intensive Mobile Medical Supply Unit has been especially created for the use in emergency care situations such as the current #COVID19 pandemic.
This mobile Medical Trunking unit aids the safe ventilation of patients. Optionally, the supply of 2 more beds via the <<master>>-system is possible. In this case two additional <<slave>>-systems are connected to the <<master>>-system by distributor boxes (for oxygen and power with integrated preliminary fuses), which are connected to the local supply in turn. Thanks to numerous standard equipment rails 25x10mm as well as the two Ø 32mm round rods the Q100 intensive mobile system can be equipped optimally for each individual case.
The mobile transport is very easy to use and transport due to the docking system. Simply hook the Q100 intensive mobile in the head of the bed and transport both systems together in a ‘time efficient’ and ‘medical staff’ efficient way. For quick use, an oxygen cylinder pressure reducer with NIST exit and 2 circuits for the power supply is required.
Protected by registered patent and design.
