Mater Adult Hospital
The Mater Hospital is one of Ireland’s busiest and most demanding hospitals located in Dublin. The hospital has been providing medical care for over 150 years. In recent years considerable refurbishment has been carried out within the Mater Hospital so they can continue to offer the high level of medical care they have become recognised for. Synergy Medical has once again being extremely involved with the refurbishment of the Mater Hospital in a number of areas. We supplied and installed beds of Cableflow Medisys Integra Medical Trunking Systems in the infectious disease unit of the Mater Hospital. The cost saving and incredible flexibility of the Medisys Integra System has been recognised as a pioneer system of its type in both Ireland and the U.K., the Medisys Integra offers a blended solution to bedhead services provision in the clinical environment with integral up and down lights this innovative system ensures that the patient’s bedded area remains lit in accordance with regulations, especially when the curtains are drawn.
Synergy Medical also supplied and installed the latest in medical operating theatre lighting technology we have to offer. This includes the Brandon Medical High Definition LED Minor Procedure Light which offers vastly better performance than standard definition LED or conventional surgical lights. This new technology offers full spectrum colour rendition, which assists medical staff in distinguishing small differences in tissue without having to strain their eyes. It also includes fat beam illumination which provides more light across the full width of the illuminated area, which can be adjusted by medical staff in order to eliminate peripheral distraction. This latest technology makes the light do the work as opposed to the human eye. These lights also have a capability of lasting for over 40,000 hours which is the equivalent of twenty years, paired with the lamps five rotation options makes this product a particularly useful one for any medical professional to have by their side.
We also worked on installing 36 bespoke foot of bed pendants with Minor Procedure Lights and a patient information cockpit.
These systems consist of a twin lightweight arm system which is easy to move around and position anywhere within a room. This unit includes a 20”medically approved flat screen monitor which can display all the details of a patient from their current vitals to their current medication requirements. On the secondary arm to this unit there is a major surgical light, which is a high quality and versatile light that can be used for any inspections or minor procedures. This equipment means everything is within an arms length of the medical staff so there full attention can go on the patient.
